Part 8 of my 50 Days, 50 States road trip.
This episode takes me from Washington, DC through West Virginia and into Pigeon Forge, Tennessee — and honestly, Pigeon Forge is not what I expected. The biggest surprise was the 3D port and the entire over-the-top, entertainment-style atmosphere that completely changed my impression of the place.
Along the way, I renew my U.S. passport, drive through West Virginia, pass through New River Gorge National Park, stop in Snowshoe, and end the night exploring The Island in Pigeon Forge before crashing there.
