The Meat Filling:

โ€ข 1 kg Ground Beef

โ€ข ยพ cup White Rice (Uncooked)

โ€ข 1 large Onion (Grated or finely chopped)

โ€ข 1 Egg

โ€ข 2 tsp Salt ๐Ÿง‚

โ€ข 1 tsp Black Pepper

โ€ข 1 tsp Garlic Powder

The Sweet & Sour Sauce:

โ€ข 600 mL Tomato Paste (Concentrate)

โ€ข 4 cups Water ๐Ÿ’ง

โ€ข 1/3 cup White Sugar (or brown sugar)

โ€ข ยผ cup Fresh Lemon Juice

โ€ข 2 tsp Salt ๐Ÿง‚

The Cabbage:

โ€ข 1 Large Green Cabbage (Pro tip: Freeze it 2 days before, then thaw to skip the boiling!)

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ Method:

1๏ธโƒฃ Prep the Cabbage: Peel the softened leaves carefully so they donโ€™t tear.

2๏ธโƒฃ The Filling: Mix the beef, rice, onion, egg, and spices. Gently roll about 2 tbsp of meat into each cabbage leaf. Seal it as shown in the video.

3๏ธโƒฃ The Sauce: Whisk the tomato paste, water, sugar, salt, and lemon until smooth. It should be a perfect sweet-and-tangy balance!

4๏ธโƒฃ Pack the rolls in seam-side down. Pour the sauce over the top.

5๏ธโƒฃ The Slow Cook: Simmer on very low heat for 3 – 12 hours.

โš ๏ธ Chefโ€™s Note: Keep an eye on the pot! If you see the sauce getting too thick while cooking, add a little bit of water gradually to keep the rolls moist and help the rice cook through.#
