If you’ve ever wanted to question all your life choices while gasping for air, Mount Marcy is the hike for you! As the highest peak in New York, it offers breathtaking views—assuming you survive long enough to enjoy them. The trail is long and your legs will file a formal complaint by mile three. But hey, at least you’ll have bragging rights (if you make it back down in one piece). Just remember: what goes up must come down… preferably not via rescue helicopter.
