Add yeast to the warm water ๐Ÿ’ง

Add a pinch of sugar ๐Ÿฌ

Let it sit for 10 minutes โณ

Wait until the top gets frothy โ˜๏ธ

Add the water to the flour ๐ŸŒพ

Add salt ๐Ÿง‚ and oil ๐Ÿซ™

Knead by hand ๐Ÿคฒ or with a mixer โš™๏ธ

Until smooth and soft โœจ

Let the dough rise for 1 hour โณ

Braid the challah ๐Ÿชข

Egg wash ๐Ÿฅš

Sprinkle sesame seeds ๐ŸŒพ

Let it rise again for another hour โณ

Bake at 400ยฐF / 200ยฐC ๐Ÿ”ฅ
