Kol Nidrei is one of the most moving and iconic prayers of the Jewish year, sung at the opening of Yom Kippur. Its haunting melody has inspired generations, carrying centuries of emotion, history, and longing.
This special rendition is in honor of my teacher and mentor, Chazan Naftali Hershtik, whose influence sparked my love for chazanut (cantorial music) more than 30 years ago. Newly arranged by the gifted Shimmy Miller, this piece brings fresh depth while staying true to its timeless beauty.
My hope is that this Kol Nidrei fills your Yom Kippur with reflection, sincerity, and inspiration.
